本州、九州及び南西諸島から知られ、マレー半島、ボルネオ、タイ及び台湾にも分布する。枯れ枝に生息し、前脛節の内側基部付近に小突起が有ることで近縁種と区別できる。メス・オス共に有翅型と短翅型が知られる。食菌性。

This species is known from Honshu, Kyushu and the Ryukyu Islands, and is also distributed in the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Thailand and Taiwan.
